JMC-G to solve sewage woes within 48hrs in monsoon
Jaipur: With the onset of monsoon, the city is facing escalating sewerage issues, including waterlogging, sewage discharge on public roads, and overflowing sewers. To address these problems, JMC-Greater sewerage committee, led by Chairperson Akshay Khunteta, is holding daily meetings in various zones.
Last week, meetings were conducted in Mansarovar and Malviya Nagar zones, and this week, meetings are planned for Vidhyadhar Nagar, Murlipura, and Jhotwara zones.

"We are holding daily meetings to address sewerage problems across the city. We are working on each zone simultaneously. In the Mansarovar zone, around 100 complaints were registered online; 40-50 of them were resolved but not marked as resolved on the concerned portal, so we are working to fix that too," said Khunteta.
Officials said they are receiving both online and offline complaints, with an average of 30-35 complaints being registered daily.
Khunteta said that the committee is working to ensure better drainage and improved sewerage facilities for residents to prevent complications during the monsoon season.
