JAIPUR: A married man was arrested along with his live-in partner for killing his other live-in partner and disposing of the body parts in Bikaner and Jodhpur. Bikaner police launched an investigation when a headless body was found in a garbage heap beyond an underpass near Ghadsisar under Jaynarayan Vyas Colony police station area, Bikaner, on June 15.
On Friday, police recovered the woman's head and hands from a drain in Jodhpur.
According to IG, Bikaner Range Om Prakash, the married man, identified as Vikas Maan (37) from Jodhpur, conspired with his live-in partner Sangeeta (35) from Hanumangarh to kill his other live-in partner Muskan (34) from Pali, a native of Nagpur. Police have arrested both Vikas and Sangeeta.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Muskan was pressuring Vikas to separate from Sangeeta and live with her. Peeved by this, Sangeeta convinced Vikas to get rid of Muskan.
Bikaner SP Tejaswini Gautam said, "The body was recovered on June 15. The woman was identified as Muskan from Pali."
Police traced the suspects through CCTV footage and vehicle registration details, leading to the arrest of the two accused, who confessed to the murder. The accused revealed that domestic conflicts led to the murder plot.
