41 meritorious students felicitated
Kanpur: As many as 41 talented students (boys & girls) from different boards on Saturday were felicitated by the district magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh in a district level function held here at new auditorium Sarsaiya ghat on Saturday. The DM presented them tablets and a sum of Rs one lakh. Among the talented students 10 were of class Xth and remaining 31 were of class XII conducted by the Madhyamic Shiksha Parishad Prayagraj.
All the students were in the merit list of UP and scored 6th to 10th spots.
Earlier the district magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh, Rajesh Kumar Singh additional district magistrate (City), district coordinators and students along with their parents witnessed the live telecast of the inauguration of important programmes of the Basic/secondary Education department by chief minister Yogi Adityanath. The chief minister inaugurated around 165 upgraded Kasturba Gandhi Girls inter colleges, laid foundation stone for construction of additional class rooms, auditorium and toilet block in DIET of 11 districts, new buildings constructed for DIET of 5 districts of state and inaugurated 59 additional class rooms & auditoriums in districts. CM released educational research compilation “Shodh Sangam” and distributed new free text books of classes 1 and 2 based on NCERT pattern. tnn
