Bomb threat to Cochin-London Air India flight turns out to be hoax

The Cochin-London flight departed on time with 215 passengers despite a bomb threat linked to Suhaib, who was prevented from boarding. Security measures were taken, and the situation was resolved before departure.

KOCHI: Panic prevailed at the Cochin International Airport on Tuesday after a bomb threat received for Air India's Cochin-London.
The threat was received by the Air India call center in Mumbai in the morning for flight AI 149.
Following the threat, the aircraft was thoroughly checked and subsequently cleared for flight.
The flight's check-in process has been completed by 10.30am.
Boarding procedure for 215 passengers will be start soon as the flight is expected to depart as per schedule at 11.50am.
Investigations revealed that the threat call was made by one Suhaib (29), a native of Kondotty in Malappuram district. Suhaib was scheduled to travel to London on the same flight.
Security forces at the airport handed over him to the police for further questioning and legal action.
