‘Kerala voters have accepted BJP’
Kochi: Kerala voters have accepted the BJP and it was reflected in the Lok Sabha elections, observed a state leadership meeting of the party held in Kochi on Saturday.
“Kerala has become a BJP-friendly state and the people here are increasingly favouring BJP. Our party’s agitation against CPM’s cooperative society loot in Karuvannur has yielded results,” BJP state president K Surendran told reporters after the meeting.
He also hailed the outcome as a triumph of people’s struggle led by the BJP.
BJP had organized protests and cooperative agitations against the looting, resulting in several arrests. He said that the party would continue to fight for justice for the victims in Karuvannur.
He criticized the Congress for its silence as it was complicit in the cooperative robbery alongside the CPM. He said that action will be taken against all those who have looted the poor in several other places as well.
Surendran said that the delimitation move ahead of local elections is aimed to subvert the mandate. He urged BJP workers to remain vigilant against the delimitation bill, which is supported by UDF. The BJP will form vigilance committees to counter the unscientific ward division, he added. Surendran attributed the BJP’s progress to the recognition of development politics and the sentiment against Pinarayi’s anti-people rule. He said that the party national president J P Nadda will be present at the BJP’s general meeting in Thiruvananthapuram on July 9.

Earlier, the leaders discussed the various achievements of the party, including securing 35,000 to 75,000 votes in 60 assembly constituencies across the state. They felt that they have made significant inroads among scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and backward classes.
The leadership predicted a breakthrough for the BJP in the 2026 assembly elections and decided that they would continue the party’s fight against corruption and exposing the anti-people govt.
Union minister Suresh Gopi thanked the party cadre and leadership in Thrissur for their efforts to ensure his win. Union minister of state George Kurian, former Union minister V Muralidharan among others spoke.
