Unused land to be used for ‘land for all’ goal: Min
Kochi: Revenue minister K Rajan announced that steps have been taken to release unused land to meet revenue department’s goal of ‘land for all’ and give title deed for all land.
Local self-government department has a lot of unused forestland. In order to release them, a meeting has been called under chairmanship of chief minister on July, the minister informed the revenue assembly held for Ernakulam district.
The meeting was held in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.
MLAs, who attended the meeting, brought to the attention of assembly that ‘pattaya’ applications and land reclassification complaints regarding Poramboke land along canal area of the district should be considered.
Industries minister P Rajeeve said that in Kadangoor village, a situation has arised where authorities have stopped accepting land tax from residents.
Opposition leader V D Satheesan demanded to build an annex complex at Paravur mini civil station.
Anwar Sadat, MLA, demanded concerted intervention by ministers of industries and revenue to release 10 cents from the land owned by Aluva FACT for construction of village office.
