Stray dog attacks 9-year-old boy in Shiroli village
Kolhapur: A stray dog attacked a nine-year-old boy at Shiroli village on Friday evening when the boy was playing outside his house along with his friends.
The incident took place in Malwadi area and the boy was taken to primary health center at Shiroli and then was send to CPR Hospital.
The stray menace is seen increasing in the city as well as in the Kolhapur district.

Dastagir Mulla, father of the injured boy, said, “The children were playing when a stray dog, which was chased by a few others, attacked the kid. He had injuries in his head and leg. Before the dog could attack others, the locals shooed away the dog from the spot. The stray menace in Shiroli village is increasing and the gram panchayat has failed in controlling the stray population”.
At the primary health centre, the boy received his anti-rabies shot and was then sent to the hospital.
