Viral video: Trainer thrashes woman inside gym in West Bengal's Ranaghat, arrested

KOLKATA: A shocking incident has come to light from a gym in Ranaghat district, West Bengal, where a trainer was caught on camera physically assaulting a female member. The disturbing video, shared by a user on the social media platform X, shows the trainer approaching the woman while she was exercising and violently attacking her.
In the footage, the trainer, who was partially undressed, can be seen forcefully pulling the woman to the floor and subjecting her to a brutal assault.He then dragged her to the ground and brutally assaulted her with kicks and punches to the face and stomach, while she cried and yelled for help. The woman's cries for help can be heard throughout the video.

The viral video has sparked outrage among X users. The Ranaghat District Police swiftly responded to the incident, taking prompt measures to apprehend the individual responsible for the crime. They also reassured the community that the victim was unharmed and under protection.

The Ranaghat District Police wrote on X, "The perpetrator in this video has been identified and arrested by Ranaghat District Police. A case has been initiated against him. The victim lady was also contacted, and at present, she is safe and secure."
