Lucknow: Newly appointed chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh reviewed the state’s complaint redressal mechanism on Monday and said that his department would carry out random checks of five complaints each day which, on the IGRS, have been shown as ‘special closed’ or have received an unsatisfactory feedback.
Directing officials to ensure that all public complaints are addressed promptly and correctly, the CS said that all departments must similarly carry out random checks of complaints which have been shows as ‘special closed’ or have received an unsatisfactory feedback.

“If required, the officers concerned will be sent on ground to review the complaint and its closure. Strict action will be taken against any official who is found to have filed a false closure report,” the CS added.
