Lucknow University extends date to submit UG forms
Lucknow University
LUCKNOW: Lucknow University on Sunday extended the last date for submitting forms for admission to its undergraduate courses. Now, candidates can fill admission forms till July 5.
However, there is no change in the entrance test schedule which will be held from July 17 to July 18.
“In student interest, LU has extended the last date. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) results have not been announced yet.
We received several messages from candidates requesting an extension,” said LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava.
He said that as several universities, which admit candidates on the basis of entrance test as has been done by LU, and the non-CUET universities, which consider class 12 scores, are going ahead with the admission process there was a possibility of clash in counseling dates.
“That is why we have extended the last date in LU. However, there is no change in the application process as candidates can fill the form online by visiting LU’s official website or using the admission mobile app,” he added.
Meanwhile, a candidate Swati Behal, who has given CUET entrance and is also applying for LU, said, “If CUET UG results are further delayed then we might miss a chance of getting admission in a good state university on failing to get admission in a central university.”
