LUCKNOW: Residents of Alambagh and nearby areas of zone five in Lucknow staged a protest at the Jalkal office over interrupted water supply amid scorching heat on Thursday.
Over 30 residents from Alambagh gathered at the Jalkal office to complain about the water supply issues.
The locals claimed the water supply in their areas is inconsistent, with some places receiving no water at all and others getting water for only a short duration.

“The water in our area comes for a short duration and we cannot store it to meet our day-to-day needs,” said Sharda Devi, a resident of Alambagh. Manoj Arya, general manager, Jalkal, said, “We are sending water tankers in the areas which are facing water crisis and we are looking to install new tubewells and restore the existing tubewell to maintain the supply.”
