Lucknow: A five-day ‘Urmil Rang Mahotsav’ will be organized in the memory of theatre artist Urmil Kumar Thapliyal at Sant Gadgeji Maharaj auditorium at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi from July 16.
The plays will begin from 7pm onwards.
This year, theatre veterans Anil Rastogi and Vijay Vastav will be felicitated with Urmil Rang Samman. On the first day, ‘nautanki’ written by Thapliyal ‘Harishankar ki Ladai’ will be staged.
The plays – ‘Kewat ke Ram’, ‘Raja Bhrithari’ ‘Batware ki Aag’ and ‘Matadeen’ will be staged on July 17, 18, 19 and 20, respectively.
