Borstal jail holds seminar on new criminal laws
Ludhiana: Borstal Jail, in co-ordination with District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), Ludhiana, organised a seminar on Monday to apprise inmates of the three new criminal laws.
The seminar was conducted by Yadwinder Sharma, the deputy chief legal aid defence counsel and Manpreet MP Singh, an assistant legal aid defence counsel.
The dignitaries explained in details that the three new criminal laws — Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) — are expected to significantly affect the prisons and prisoners.
