DC reviews Buddha Dariya project work
Ludhiana: Deputy commissioner (DC) Sakshi Sawhney on Monday conducted a meeting with the senior officials of the municipal corporation to review the ongoing project to rejuvenate Buddha Dariya.
Having been given the additional charge of MC commissioner by the govt, Sawhney conducted the meeting at MC’s Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar and directed the civic body officials to expedite the pending/proposed works.

During the meeting, the DC directed the officials to take up extensive plantation drives during the monsoon season, and if required, involve NGOs/residents in the initiative. The authorities have been directed to also focus on the survival of the plants, after taking up plantation drives.
Sawhney further directed the officials to remain on toes and take all the necessary steps to avoid waterlogging in the city during the monsoon season. tnn
