MUMBAI: UBT sena legislator Anil Parab, who is once again contesting the coming Mumbai graduates constituency polls, has alleged irregularities in the supplementary electoral roll prepared by the election commission and demanded its postponement. According him commission has not included around 12000 graduate voters his party workers had registered in the supplementary roll without giving valid reasons for rejections.

"Many applications registered by the Thackeray group have been cancelled citing no logical reason," he said while addressing media along with newly elected MP Anil Desai.
"The supplementary role which was supposed to come much earlier was released just four days before the election date. As per process our form is checked while registering online. After the scrutiny we are given a slip which means, I have filled up the form. A slip is issued only if that form is checked and submitted. Errors are recorded when forms are rejected for some reason. Information is also given about documents that are missing. However the supplementary roll does not include thousands of name including that of my daughter," said Parab.
"In fact, the hearing over 40 Shiv Sena MLAs' disqualification is pending in the Supreme Court. And therefore, the Legislative Council elections should be held after the decision and not in such a haste. We are demanding the commission to hold legislative council polls till the SC ruling and thus immediately postpone," he said.
"In the roll of 40,000 that is released now, it shows that the names registered by our party have been eliminated. We have lots of slips, which acknowledge that our form have been submitted properly. We allege that all the names registered by the BJP have only appeared in the list and those by others have been excluded deliberately upon the directives from the higher ups", alleged Parab demanding immediate action to clear this serious lapse on part of the commission.
Meanwhile commission officials said if they submitted the list of excluded voters commission would verify the status and take appropriate actions.
