MUMBAI: After the arrest of 8 persons following Sunday’s raid in Pune, CM Eknath Shinde said those involved in drug trafficking will be put in jail and restaurants and hotels found involved will be demolished with bulldozers.
Shinde said that in areas like Mira Bhayander, Thane, Mumbai and Nashik and all over Maharashtra, hubs of drugs will be demolished with bulldozers.

He said his govt will not spare anyone who tries to protect such people and establishments. “I have told Pune CP to destroy the business of selling drugs,” he said. Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis, who holds the home portfolio, said the opposition must not politicise the drugs issue else he would expose what was happening on the drugs matter during their 2.5-year tenure.
