Uddhav says double engine MahaYuti govt is Maha leakage govt

MUMBAI: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday took a dig at CM Eknath Shinde saying that he practised five star farming by travelling to his village in a helicopter. Uddhav said that the Mahayuti govt was a Maha leakage govt. Uddhav said the govt is called the khoke (moneybags) government, Maha Yuti government. But the double engine government of center and state is a 'Maha leakage' govt.Because there is a leak in the core of the Ram temple and exam papers are also leaking. During the legislature’s monsoon session, Uddhav coincidently met DCM Devendra Fadnavis while waiting for the elevator and both of them went up in the same elevator in Vidhan Bhavan sparking speculation. Uddhav said that he will have their next secret meeting in the elevator. BJP Minister Chandrakant Patil also met Uddhav and gave him some chocolates. Uddhav took a dig at Patil and said that the govt was only giving chocolates (false promises) to people. Uddhav said that people are calling the whole government bye bye government. Uddhav also said that like the ladli behna scheme which the govt is expected to launch, a scheme should also be rolled out for men since there is massive unemployment in the state. Uddhav demanded that the state govt must waive off all farmers’s debt, making them debt free.
“There have been many announcements. I always say that there is a rain of slogans and a drought of implementation. If this government has the guts, it should tell the truth how much the announcements of the last two years have been fulfilled. Not only this, a white paper should be issued regarding it. If this white paper is produced by this government, it will be a blank sheet of paper,” Uddhav said after attending the first day of the monsoon session of the state legislature.
“The double engine government should take the help of the central government and make the farmers of the state debt free. I welcome the ladli behna scheme but the govt must come up with a ladli brother scheme too. Do not discriminate between men and women in this scheme. Chandrakant Patil gave me chocolate today. Also, the scheme which was supposed to give free education has turned out to be empty. People have run out of patience now. Showing the carrot will not do you any good,” Uddhav said.
“Devendra Fadnavis and I were together in the elevator. Now, from this. That meeting was a chance meeting. They say, the wall has ears. However, the elevator wall has no ears. So we will have our next secret meetings in the elevator..the unconstitutional CM had announced that no farmer would commit suicide. This was announced only when the CM was sworn in unconstitutionally. But farmers are committing suicide. The unconstitutional CM is fine because his farming is five star. He is the only farmer who goes by helicopter,” Uddhav said.
