BJP seeks SIT probe into Muda ‘irregularities’
Mysuru: Raghu Kautilya, State BJP OBC Morcha chief, on Saturday called upon the state govt to form a special investigation team (SIT) to probe alleged irregularities amounting to hundreds of crores of rupees at the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (Muda).
Addressing a press conference, Kautilya alleged that financial irregularities at the urban body have exceeded Rs 2,500 crore over the past several years.

He claimed influential individuals are preventing the govt from investigating the irregularities in Muda. Kautilya also demanded the resignation of urban development minister Byrathi Suresh for his inability to address the irregularities in Muda.
“The corruption in Muda has escalated under the current Congress administration,” he said. In order to protect Muda’s properties, Kautilya appealed to the state govt to transfer the administration of Muda to the deputy commissioner. Furthermore, he demanded that the govt abolish Muda as it has failed in allocating sites and houses to its applicants.
