Mysuru: Pushpanjali-Agarwal Samaj Mysore marked the International Day against Drug Abuse by organising a public awareness programme at the North Gate of the Mysuru Palace. SK Mittal, president of Agarwal Samaj, appealed to the society to make India a drug-free nation. He said about 250 colleges participated in the drive. DCP M Muthuraj administered the oath to students and hundreds of NCC cadets, who formed a human chain.
University of Mysore vice-chancellor NK Loknath and NCC Group Commander Col. Rohit Thakur were present.
Power cut tomorrow
Mysuru: Owing to maintenance work, following areas will face disruption in power supply from 10am to 5:30pm on June 30: Ramanuja Road 01 to 09 Cross, Hosbandikeri, JSS Hospital, Agrahara, Basaveshwar Road, parts of Chamundipuram, Thyagaraja Road, Gundurao Nagar, Datta Nagar, Muneshwar Nagar, Gaurishankar Nagar, Nanjangud Toll Gate, Tavarekere, Jockey Quarters, Race Course Back, Suburb Bus Stand, Nazarbad, Ittigegud and surrounding areas, and Chamundi Hills.
