Join e-survey on residential parking, NMMC urges citizens
Navi Mumbai: The town planning department of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has appealed to citizens to participate in the just-launched residential parking online survey. “Based on the information obtained from this survey, an expert committee will be able to submit a report with appropriate recommendations for...parking for residential use in the construction rules,” said an NMMC official.

On Dec 22, 2023, Bombay high court had directed NMMC chief to set up an expert committee to assess the parking needs for residential use within the municipal limits and to make appropriate recommendations to the civic administration and state govt. In compliance with the HC order, the committee was set up, meetings held, and a questionnaire prepared to conduct an online survey related to the parking needs for residential use. Residents can provide information and suggestions on the link https://forms.gle/vrTFN3kbfFdiLS7M9. NMMC chief Kailas Shinde, “Citizens are requested to participate in the survey, so that if required, NMMC can recommend amendments to the parking provisions in the regulations to govt.” — B B Nayak
