Two UP mendie as car hitsparked truck
Patna: Two persons lost their lives when their car, bearing a registration number from Uttar Pradesh, collided with a stationary truck on Bihta-Sarmera four-lane highway under the jurisdiction of Naubatpur police station in Patna district on Saturday.
According to the police, the car was heading from Naubatpur towards Bihta when it rammed into the parked truck from behind.
Eyewitnesses said the vehicle was travelling at a high speed, and the driver lost control over it. The impact of the collision was so severe that both occupants of the car were killed instantly.
“The deceased have been identified as Ashok Kumar (28) and Mukesh Patel (26). They were identified through their identity cards recovered from their wallets. Both were residents of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. The bodies are kept in the mortuary of Patna-AIIMS in wait of their family members. Their families have been informed about the incident,” said Indal Yadav, the additional SHO of Naubatpur police station. He added that film shooting equipment and a camera were found in the car, indicating that the victims might have been engaged in film shooting activities.
