Dist admn & RMC to remove encroachment under flyovers
Raipur: To safeguard govt land in Raipur and develop a designated vending zone to bolster public amenities, district administration and the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) are working together with focus on removing illegal encroachments beneath the Amanaka Rail Over Bridge (ROB) on GE Road, infrastructure development under Telibandha Express Way flyover.

On Sunday, under the instructions of Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Raipur district collector, municipal corporation commissioner Abinash Mishra conducted an on-site inspection of the narrow road under the Telibandha Expressway. The narrow service road towards Shankar Nagar often witnessed traffic congestion during peak hours. The commissioner directed SDM Nand Kumar Chaubey to initiate immediate measures to widen the narrow road. This step aims to ensure seamless traffic flow and enhanced accessibility for citizens, underscoring the administration’s commitment to urban mobility and safety.
The commissioner inspected the ongoing beautification work from Science College to Gol Chowk DD Nagar, evaluating artwork, painting, and enhancement projects along the walls and central road dividers, managed by Raipur Smart City Limited.
Stringent instructions were issued to municipal officials to preserve the integrity of these beautified areas post-completion. Any unauthorized affixing of banners, posters, or stickers on govt walls, road dividers, or electric poles will incur severe penalties, ensuring the sustained beauty and cleanliness of Raipur’s public spaces.
