'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ to bring environmental revolution: CM Sai
Raipur: Reacting to PM Narendra Modi's appeal to citizens to plant a tree, CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign would bring a revolution and conserve the environment.
Sai said, "Everyone should plant a tree in the name of their mother. If mother is alive, she should be taken along to plant a tree. If she has passed away, then a tree should be planted, keeping her picture nearby.
If every citizen joins this initiative, there will be an environmental revolution." He appealed to the people of Chhattisgarh to join the initiative. Earlier, PM Modi on Sunday spoke about the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign launched on World Environment Day, appealing to the citizens and people worldwide to join tree plantation initiative with their mother to celebrate both motherhood and the environment.ANI
