RAJKOT: Recording a reel while performing stunts with their SUVs on a beach has landed two college students from Bhadreshwar in Mundra town of Kutch in double trouble.
On one hand, the SUVs - Mahindra Thar - got partially submerged in the high tide on the Bhadreshwar beach and had to be pulled out with help of a tractor. And, the Mundra marine police booked the two youths - Karan Sorathiya (23) and Paresh Sorathiya (23) - for reckless driving and endangering human lives.
Mundra Marine police station sub-inspector Narendra Jadeja said the video that went viral on social media on Saturday was uploaded by one Nizam Traya.

The video showed two SUVs, a red one and another white, being driven dangerously on the beach that was crowded with people. Those inside the vehicle were seen recording videos and driving splashing water on people walking on the beach.
Jadeja said on investigation it was revealed that the video was recorded 15 days ago and had become viral on Saturday only after Traya uploaded it on his Instagram account.
The video, shot on Bhadreshwar beach in Mundra taluka, showed two Mahindra Thar SUVs being roughly driven on the beach full of people. The drivers were deliberately driving in the sea and splashing water.
The video further showed the two SUVs stuck in sand with more than half of the vehicles submerged in water. The vehicle drivers and their friends are seen desperately trying to get the SUVs out of the water.

Sub-inspector Jadeja said that since it was time for high tide the SUV's got stuck and submerged in water. The youths had to call the villagers for help.
"The people from nearby village used a tractor to pull out the two vehicles from the water," added Jadeja.
Police said that they have detained one of the drivers of the vehicles and are questioning him. Both Karan and Paresh are college students and residents of Bhadreshwar town, added police.
