Bokaro: A North Chotanagpur division level meeting of Jharkhand State Health Services Association (Jhasa) dental cadre was held on Sunday to focus on addressing issues faced by dental officers.
Director-in-chief of state health services Dr C K Sahi, who was the chief guest, assured dentists their issues would be addressed.
Key issues highlighted by state vice-president of Jhasa Dr Sharad Kumar included a demand for salary increases for NHM dentists and age relaxation in recruitment among other things.
A 14-point memorandum had already been submitted to the state health department secretary Ajoy Kumar Singh in the past. Jhasa president Dr P P Sah warned of a state-wide agitation if the demands are not met by August 15.
