Govt will work out measures in event of drought: Champai
Jamshedpur: Chief minister Champai Soren on Monday said that the state govt is closely watching the progress of the monsoon and will work out measures to provide relief to the farmers in the event of a drought.
“The farmers will not be left alone to endure the woes. Our govt will look after them in the event of a drought,” CM said talking to media persons in Rajnagar on Monday.
Champai also said work is on to provide piped irrigation facilities to the farmers in different villages in Seraikela, his assembly constituency.

“The underground pipeline will source water from rivers and supply it to the cropland directly,” he said.
Earlier in the day, the chief minister inaugurated a private hospital in Jamshedpur during which he said that the state govt is working sincerely towards providing affordable healthcare to the people.
“Healthcare is on the priority list of the govt and we are working on several measures to bring qualitative improvement in the services. A healthy society is the foundation for a prosperous state,” Champai added.
