Himachal Pradesh received
rainfall on Thursday, with the lowest minimum temperature dropping to 7.2°C at Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti district.
The weather department has predicted heavy
rains for the next six days, from June 28 to July 3. As per the forecast, southwest monsoon has further advanced into most parts of Himachal, creating favourable conditions for rainfall all across the state.
As per the weather department, heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds will occur in most parts of the state in the coming days. The rains may result in flooding of roads, waterlogging, and occasional reduction in visibility. The rains may also trigger landslides, states the weather forecast. It rained 27.4 mm in Una, 13.2 mm in Hamirpur, 10.6 mm in Kangra, 5.4 mm in Shimla, 3.9 mm in Solan, 2.8 mm in Mandi, 2.3 mm in Sirmaur, and 2.2 mm in Chamba. tnn
