Surat: A forex trader in Surat was cheated of Rs 32.5 lakh with the lure of buying virtual currency USDT at cheaper rate. The trader Pratik Anghan (25) filed a cheating complaint against Darshak Godhani and his aide Vikas Rajput at Utran police.
According to case details, Anghan wanted to trade in USDT so he got a reference of Godhani from his friend.
Godhani called him to his office in Utran area on Jun 12. After Anghan gave him Rs 18 lakh, Godhani’s partner Ketan Bhalala transferred USDT worth Rs 18 lakh to Anghan’s online wallet. Later Anghan got Rs 32.5 lakh cash and reached Godhani’s office on Jun 17. Godhani went into a room to count the cash. When Anghan went to check, he found Godhani had fled with cash. tnn
