Govt suspends three prison officials; Made scapegoats?
Thiruvananthapuram: The state govt on Thursday suspended three prison officials from service for including three convicts in the controversial TP Chandrasekharan murder case in a remission list and seeking police reports, minutes before the opposition raised the matter in the assembly. It said none of the convicts in the case were being considered for remission of sentence.
Joint superintendent of Kannur central prison K S Sreejith, who is holding the superintendent’s charge, assistant superintendent (grade-I) B G Arun and assistant prison officer O V Raghunath have been suspended from service pending investigation.
