3 die in Trichy road accidents

Trichy: Two elderly women and an elderly man died in Trichy district on Sunday in road accidents.
S Arunlmani, a 67-year-old man from John Church compound on Dindigul Road, was hit by an unidentified vehicle under the aristo bridge near central bus stand on Sunday. He suffered severe injuries and died at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital.
At Edamalaipattipudhur, 80-year-old D Mary Lilly Pushpam was hit by a bike when crossing the road near the State Bank Colony bus stop on Sunday. She also died at the MGMGH. In another incident, 88-year-old M Chellammal, from Sankarankovil, was injured when the car she was traveling in hit a barrel on Madurai-Trichy NH on June 20. She died at the government headquarters hospital.TNN
