Udaipur: Three police constables were injured after stone pelting by a group of youths in Dhambola police station area of Dungarpur on Saturday evening.
The incident took place when constable Jeetmal Meena of Dhambola police station spotted three youths performing dangerous stunts on a motorcycle and signalled them to stop.
They ignored him and sped towards Sagwara.
In response, constables Jeetmal, Jayesh Patidar and Roshan Patidar chased the youths on two motorcycles. When the police attempted to intercept the youths near Kopa turn, the bikers were enraged and hurled stones at the cops. All three constables were injured.
Constable Jeetmal sustained serious injuries. While the cops tried to save themselves, the bikers escaped.
A complaint was filed by constable Jeetmal against the bikers and a case was registered for obstructing government work. Main accused Arvind Damor, a resident of Dol Kunjela, was later taken into custody.
