More houses searched in Godhra
Vadodara: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) teams continued questioning and searching the residences of persons linked to the Jay Jalaram School where malpractices were attempted for the NEET examination on May 5.
Sources said that a CBI team went to the residences of Dixit Patel, who is the chairman of the school, and Ketki Patel, the school principal.
Dixit has been questioned earlier too by CBI officials.
While the CBI has not made any fresh arrests, it has hinted at the possibility of others being involved in the case. The CBI counsel had stated during the hearing on the remand for the four that it did not believe that they were the only four people involved in the racket. The court was also told that the investigation and facts found so far indicated this.
After taking custody of the accused from the Godhra jail, CBI took them to a police station in Godhra. It is believed that the agency may question the accused there or keep them in the lockup at the police station. Sources said the number of CBI officers involved with the investigation had also increased over the last few days.
