MSU issues 700 offer letters, then admits its own error
Vadodara: Amid the ongoing admission-related troubles that students and parents are facing at M S University, another goof-up has surfaced at university’s Faculty of Arts.
Nearly 700 offer letters were incorrectly issued by the faculty for admission to the first year BA psychology programme.
The faculty officials, in fact, admitted on Monday that there was a goof-up.
The officials issued a press release saying that due to an error in excel data processing, 700 offer letters had been incorrectly issued.
The officials have now issued an advisory for all the eligible students. The advisory states that only those students who have received both the fee link of MSU and offer letters from the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) should proceed to pay the fees.
“Students who have received both the offer letters and fee link for admission to the BA psychology programme are confirmed to have valid admissions,” the advisory states. “Students who have received only offer letters are requested to consider them null and void,” it further states.
