Mohan Bhagwat to visit Ghazipur today, release book on Abdul Hamid

Varanasi: All eyes are on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, who will visit Ghazipur on Monday for a book launch event where he is likely to address a gathering. After the event he will also visit Devraha Baba Ashram in Mirzapur.
The RSS chief is scheduled to address a gathering at Dhamupur in Ghazipur on the launch of a book on Param Vir Chakra awardee Abdul Hamid on Monday.Talking to TOI on Sunday, Abdul Hamid’s elder son Zainul Hasan, who is also an ex-serviceman, said that the book ‘Mere Papa Param Vir’ has been authored by Dr Ramchandran Shrinivasan on narration of tales and war field stories that Zainul Hasan heard from his father before martyrdom. The book comprises many interesting facts and experiences of Abdul Hamid that he shared with his son and family members. His family had requested the RSS chief to launch the book for which the latter gave his consent.
RSS functionaries busy in arrangements for the book launch event to be held at the parental village of Abdul Hamid at Dhamupur, said that no meeting with politicians or organisational event was included in the itinerary of the RSS chief. However, as Bhagwat will address a gathering of around 2,000 people in Ghazipur, all eyes are on this event to see if he makes any direct or indirect remarks on the outcomes of the recently held polls.
Regarding Bhagwat’s itinerary, convener of the Dhamupur event Santosh Kumar Singh Yadav said that the RSS chief would arrive to fulfil his assurance given to Abdul Hamid’s family. During his visit to Hathiyaram Mutt in July 2023, Zainul Hasan and his family had requested the RSS chief to launch the book after its final publication. After book launch event on Monday morning, the RSS chief would visit the home of an RSS functionary. He will then visit the Hathiyaram Mutt around 12.30pm and will take part in religious activities there before leaving for Mirzapur around 4pm. In Mirzapur he will visit the Devraha Baba Ashram. tnn
