Two-wheeler rider dies as car drags him for several metres
Varanasi: A man died after an uncontrolled car hit his two-wheeler, ran over him and dragged him, along with his vehicle, for several metres near Panchkroshi crossing in Varanasi on Sunday late night.
ACP Sarnath Atul Anjan Tripathi said that the accused car driver, identified as KP Gupta, has been arrested.
Gupta, a govt doctor currently posted in Chandauli, was in an inebriated state when he was nabbed near Panchkroshi crossing soon after the incident, police said.

Earlier, the victim, Dinesh Sharma of Harsh Nagar Colony in Sarnath area, had left home on his two-wheeler to purchase some articles.
He noticed a car moving in the wrong lane and tried to save himself but the uncontrolled car hit him. tnn
