Naidu to visit national capital on July 4
Vijayawada: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will leave for national capital Delhi on July 4. This will be his first visit to Delhi after taking over as CM. He is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and other Union ministers during his stay. As the Union budget is likely to be announced on July 23, Naidu is looking for greater allocation of funds to the state for key projects like Polavaram, capital Amaravati, development of ports, and national highways.
Sources said the long-pending bifurcation issues are also on Naidu’s agenda. As the assets in schedule IX and X of the State Reorganisation Act remain undivided between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Naidu will seek the Union govt’s intervention to resolve the issue between the two states amicably. tnn
