Nelamangala Constituency Election Results: Assembly seat details, MLAs, candidates & more
Nelamangala is one of the 224 constituencies in Karnataka which goes to polls on May 10. It is also part of Chikballapur Lok Sabha constituency.
In the 2018 assembly elections, Janata Dal (Secular) leader Dr K Sreenivasamurthy won from Nelamangala seat by defeating Indian National Congress' R Narayanaswamy.
Sreenivasamurthy had emerged victorious from the assembly seat in the 2013 Karnataka assembly elections as well.In 2008, MV Nagaraju had won from Nelamangala seat as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate.
Nelamangala assembly constituency recorded a voter turnout of 79.23 per cent in 2018.
In the 2018 assembly elections, BJP had won 104 out of 223 seats that the party had contested. The Congress and JD(S) together won 117 seats in 2018.
Assembly elections in Karnataka will be held in a single phase on May 10 and the results will be declared on May 13. For the elections, 58,282 polling stations will be set up in the state.
There are a total of 5.21 crore voters in Karnataka and the number of 100+ voters is 16,976.
The term of the 224-member Karnataka assembly ends on May 24.
