The recently inducted cabinet ministers in Karnataka have been assigned their respective portfolios by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He has chosen to retain key responsibilities such as Finance, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), Intelligence, Information, IT & BT, and Infrastructure Development. On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has been given significant roles including Major and Medium Irrigation, Bengaluru City Development (which encompasses BBMP, BDA, BWSSB, BMRDA, BMRCL), and Town Planning linked to these authorities. The official release of the state gazetteer, which details these portfolio allocations, took place on Monday following its publication on May 28.
