State Wise Lok Sabha Election Result

India witnessed a mammoth democratic exercise as around 90 crore voters voted for the 18th Lok Sabha elections, along with assembly elections in four states in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim.

The Lok Sabha also known as the lower house of the parliament consists of 543 parliamentary constituencies across the nation. Each of which is responsible for electing one member who further serve as the voice of their respective constituencies in the Lower House of the Parliament.
Uttar Pradesh with a total of 80 constituencies, is highest among all Indian states in Lok Sabha. A total of 17 seats among these are reserved for the Scheduled Castes.

After UP, Maharashtra holds the distinction of being the second state with the highest number of constituencies, totaling 45. Among these, 5 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 4 for Scheduled Tribes.

In the previous 2019 elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a significant victory, obtaining 353 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP alone won 303 seats, surpassing the majority mark of 272.

This year, the main contenders were the BJP-led NDA and the newly formed INDIA bloc. Political parties were actively campaigning to win the support of the electorate. The ECI is ensuring that the elections are conducted fairly and smoothly.

The NDA's current Lok Sabha term will end on June 16, 2024.
