The new Illumination film, Despicable Me 4, has hit the theatres today and for all those Minion fans, here's a refresher of the family on the previous movies. The Despicable Me film series started in 2010, with a wacky but heartwarming film about a villain named Gru trying to outdo his rival, Vector, by stealing the moon. He adopts 3 young girls as part of a plan to steal from Vector, but gets attached to them.
Throughout his journey, his adorable assistants, known as Minions, aid him in his villainous acts. The movie gained love quickly, leading to the creation of many sequels about Gru and his kids, as well as two spin-offs focusing on the Minions and their pasts.
There are two ways to watch the movies; You can watch them in chronological order or in order of release.

The movies are all available to watch on JioCinema, as well as Peacock. The Minions & More Volumes are both available on Netflix. The upcoming film, Despicable Me 4, follows Gru, his new son and the rest of his family as they're forced to move houses and adopt fake identities after a criminal, Maxime la Mal, escapes from prison and swears revenge on the family for getting him arrested.

The movie was directed by Chris Renaud and Patrick Delage. It stars Steve Carell, returning as Gru, along with Miranda Cosgrove, Madison Polan, and Joey King playing his kids Margo, Agnes, and Edith. Kristen Wiig will be playing Lucy Wilde, and Pierre Coffin will be voicing the titular Minions. The villain, Maxime la Mal, will be voiced by Will Ferrell.
