Tower of God is originally a South Korean manhwa written and illustrated by S.U, otherwise known as Lee Jong-hui. It was adapted into an anime series in 2020. Season 2, produced by The Answer Studio, was announced in August of 2022.
When and where to watch Tower of God season 2
Tower of God Season 2 will be debuting on July 7th, 2024. It will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.
What is the story of Tower of God?
Tower of God follows the journey of a boy named Twenty-Fifth Bam, nicknamed Bam for short.
For the majority of his life, he has lived trapped under a large, mysterious tower, with only his best friend Rachel to keep him company. One day, Rachel decides to enter the Tower, leaving Bam devastated. Bam manages to open the door to the Tower and enter it, going on a quest to find and meet Rachel again. To ascend each floor of the Tower, he and his newfound allies must complete increasingly difficult tests that evaluate their strength, intelligence and creativity.

What will happen in season 2?
Season 2 will be adapting the Return of the Prince arc from the manhwa. Set 6 years after the first season, this arc follows the story of Ja Wangnan, a resident of the 20th floor. He has failed the test to go to the next floor countless times, but continues to try in hopes of going up. During one test, he meets a group of unique and interesting candidates, amongst which is a man named Jyu Viole Grace, who claims to be a slayer candidate of the FUG. Although they struggle to get along at first, Wangnan and the other climbers eventually become friends and come together to form a team called Team Tangsooyook.
