Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh to face off against internal threats in YRF spy universe film

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is set to make her highly anticipated entry into the Yash Raj Films (YRF) Spy Universe with an action-packed thriller, co-starring Sharvari Wagh. According to a recent report by Dainik Bhaskar, the shooting for this untitled film will commence on July 15 in Mumbai, where the sets are currently being prepared.

The movie, which will be directed by The Railway Men fame Shiv Rawail, is set to explore a unique storyline that doesn't revolve around the typical India-Pakistan rivalry.Instead, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be seen facing off against internal enemies of the country, showcasing the intricate workings of intelligence agencies and the presence of traitors within.
The report also reveals that the story will span from 2000 to 2024, providing a comprehensive look at the internal politics and challenges faced by the characters. Pathaan fame action director Casey O'Neill has been brought on board to choreograph the high-octane action sequences.

Pinkvilla initially reported about Alia Bhatt's involvement in the YRF Spy Universe. In 2023, a source close to the development told the portal, "Alia Bhatt is one of the biggest crowd pullers in today's time, and she will be playing a super-agent in the YRF Spy Universe like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Shah Rukh Khan. Aditya Chopra and the team have planned an epic female-led spy film with Alia Bhatt, which is expected to push her to the edge."
The film will also feature Bobby Deol as the antagonist, and Anil Kapoor is also reported to be a part of the cast. After completing the Mumbai schedule, the team will head to Kashmir for important action sequences and then move on to an international location in December.
With Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh leading the charge, the YRF Spy Universe is set to expand its horizons by exploring a fresh narrative that delves into the internal conflicts and challenges faced by intelligence agencies.
