Alia Bhatt revealed how she broke down when someone shared Raha’s picture in public

Motherhood is a transformative experience, but for celebrities like Alia Bhatt, it comes with the added challenge of navigating fame and privacy. In a past episode of Koffee With Karan, host Karan Johar sheds light on Alia's concerns about protecting her daughter Raha Kapoor from the public eye. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot in April 2022 and welcomed their first child in November of the same year.Their daughter, Raha, was born on November 6th.

Karan mentioned that Alia was finding it challenging to be away from Raha. He wondered why she seemed so protective of him. Alia responded that during that time, she recalled a picture of Raha when they were shooting in Kashmir for 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'. It was a tough schedule for her as it was her first shoot after giving birth, and recovering physically took longer than expected.
She mentioned feeling sleep-deprived due to feeding and rushing between shoots. Alia recalled informing Ranbir about her difficulties, and he reassured her, postponing his own work to pick up Raha and care for her, which eased Alia's worries.
Alia recalled that it was her first time being apart from Raha, and she felt a strong sense of guilt about it. She mentioned that the guilt stayed with her, and shortly after traveling back, she saw a photo where part of Raha's face was visible. This moment made her emotional, but she clarified that her breakdown wasn't because she didn't want people to see Raha's face. Alia explained that when they meet people, she and Ranbir always encourage blessings for Raha and proudly introduce her.
However, the overwhelming emotions she felt were a lot to handle, and being fiercely protective of her loved ones, she was exhausted and didn't want certain conversations at that time.
Previously, at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Alia mentioned that, as new parents, she and Ranbir were uncertain about Raha's face appearing widely on the internet.
She had mentioned, "I don't want it to seem like I am hiding my daughter. I am proud of her. If the cameras were not rolling right now, I would put a giant image of her on the screen. I love her. I am proud of our baby. But we are new parents. We don't know how we feel about her face splashed out all over the internet; she's barely a year old.”
