During an interview with Pop Diaries, Arjun was questioned about how he handles difficult moments. The actor responded by saying, “The reason why you don’t want to remember your struggles is that when the good times come, you want to forget them because you’re so scared of thinking about them and manifesting them again. It’s almost like a defense mechanism for a celebrity, till they reach a point of security where they can go back and revisit it,” he said, describing his own struggles as a ‘nightmare’.

Sharing insights into the challenges he encountered at the beginning of his acting journey, Arjun went on to say, “I was a very successful model, and Ashok Mehta came to me with this film Moksha, where I was paired opposite this fantastic actor, Manisha Koirala. She was at her peak at that time. I was shooting a scene with her in the Chambal Valley when the rushes came and I saw myself, and I hated myself. I thought, ‘My God, you’re horrible’.” Arjun said that he was stiff in front of the camera, which was a result of his training as a model. “So, I decided I’m not going to model anymore. I didn’t know that the film would take six years to get made,” he said.
He continued saying, “I had no source of income in that period of time. I was living in seven bungalows at that time. I had a wonderful landlord, a sardarji. He’d come on the first of every month, and he’d look at me, and I’d look at him. He’d say, ‘Nahi hai (You don’t have the money, do you)?’ And I’d shake my head. He’d say, ‘Koi nahi, tu de dega (Never mind, I’m sure you’ll pay me).’ He was the sweetest man; you need those kinds of breaks in your life.” Arjun mentioned that he signed another movie after that. Even though he had changed homes, he invited the generous landlord to his movie premiere after repaying him.
Being forced to shift homes because he couldn't afford to stay at the Sardarji's place anymore, Arjun expressed, “I had two dogs, and I would eat vegetarian food; they’d eat non-vegetarian food. I was like, ‘Why is this happening to me’" Arjun mentioned that such experiences teach you to be thankful. The actor's latest appearance was in the action movie "Crakk."
