Divya Dutta recalls how Aditya Chopra's advice to her changed her perspective towards signing movies

In a candid interview, Dutta shared how Chopra's blunt question made her reevaluate her approach to acting and ultimately led to a turning point in her career graph.
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Dutta recalled meeting Chopra during a rather successful phase in her career and proudly informing him about her decision to take on 22 projects simultaneously.However, instead of congratulating her, Chopra posed a thought-provoking question: "Are you in need of money?"
Baffled by his response, Dutta directly asked if he was unhappy with her decision, to which Chopra replied, "Then leave a legacy, why are you doing so many films?"

This conversation led Dutta on a path of self-reflection, where she realized that her decision-making process was driven by a desire to feel wanted and in demand, rather than a genuine passion for the craft. "I was almost overcompensating for the rejections I had faced before," she admitted.
After this eye-opening encounter, Dutta made a conscious effort to select projects that truly made her happy, rather than signing on the dotted line for every offer that came her way. "Then slowly, I stopped and I started selecting things that truly made me happy. And after that, my career graph changed," she recalled.
