Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding celebrations are on in full swing. Now, a video of Janhvi Kapoor, accompanied by her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Paharia from Anant and Radhika's Mameru ceremony has surfaced on the internet.
In the video, Janhvi and Shikhar were snapped getting out of the car as they arrived at the Ambani house. The actor was seen wearing an embroidered sleeveless blouse paired with an orange lehenga and a matching dupatta.Janhvi accessorised her look with a golden choker. On the other hand, her beau looked dapper in a sequin blue short-kurta with white pyjamas.
For the unversed, the Mameru ceremony is a cherished Gujarati pre-wedding tradition. During this event, the bride's maternal uncle (mama) visits her with sweets and gifts. These gifts typically include a Panetar saree, jewelry, ivory or white chura (bangles), and an assortment of sweets and dry fruits, all beautifully arranged in trousseau trays. The ceremony aims to strengthen family ties ahead of the bride's wedding.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai next week. The wedding festivities will begin on July 12 with the auspicious Shubh Vivah or wedding function, and the dress code for this event is Indian traditional. On July 13, the Shubh Aashirwad ceremony will take place, with a dress code of Indian formal. The celebrations will conclude on July 14 with the Mangal Utsav or wedding reception, for which the dress code is Indian chic.
