Veteran filmmaker Shankar is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming ambitious filmIndian 2’. The upcoming film is a sequel of his 1996 blockbuster ‘Indian’ starring Kamal Haasan. As the two are reuniting for the sequel of the cult classic, the expectations are soaring.
Shankar, one of the most successful and prominent filmmakers in South cinema, recently shared his thoughts on a film that has impressed him recently.
The 'Indian 2' director revealed that he was thoroughly impressed by Vikrant Massey's '12th Fail.' In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, when asked to choose a film he liked recently, Shankar selected '12th Fail.'
Shankar also expressed that he rarely got time to watch films of late, as he was on a tight schedule. He revealed that he was working on the post-production of ‘Indian 2’ in the past 4-5 months. And he was also simultaneously working on ‘Game Changer’, starring Ram Charan. “I get very less time to watch other movies. Whenever I like something I do tweet about it.” However, he added that he was blown away by Vikrant Massey starrer ‘12th Fail’. “That was a very good movie, I enjoyed it,” Shankar stated.
Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, ‘12th Fail’ has made quite the buzz across the nation.
