Sangeeta Ahir opens up about Dilip Kumar's digital debut 'Kalinga': 'It was Saira ji who got the film together with the effort of Dilip saab'

Sangeeta Ahir, who has earlier produced films like 'Prahaar', 'Golmaal Again', 'Total Dhamaal,' is set with her next flick 'Kalinga', which marks late legendary actor Dilip Kumar's digital debut.
This film, which would have been Kumar's first and only directorial venture, starred actors like Amjad Khan, Raj Babbar, Raj Kiran, Shilpa Shirodkar, and others.Producer Sangeeta Ahir had mentioned working on the film's digital transfer shortly before Dilip Kumar's death, aiming to finally release it to audiences.
Sharing the details of the development, Sangeeta told ETimes,"We are doing the digital transfer of the film. It was not only close to his heart but every word of the dialogues the entire preparation was his entire efforts, some of the senses visuals will mesmerise you,the film will be a great experience and educative fulfil makers and loved by the audience."
She added, "It’s a proud feeling to be associated and worked with Sahab and Saira ji. Who was the backbone of the film? It was she who got the film together with the effort Dilip saab put into the making of the film, or any of his films, where today you rarely get to see this kind of quality and passion while making a film the entire film will see some extraordinary techniques of shooting certain scenes. There are films today inspired by Mahabharat or Ramayan. Kalinga is a modern age film, which will see characters that will remind you of characters like the above epic."
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar passed away on July 7, 2021.
