Shloka Mehta re-creates Kareena Kapoor Khan's iconic 'Bole Chudiyan' look for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's sangeet

The final celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding festivities kick started with a starry sangeet bash on July 5. For the special occasion, Shloka Mehta decked up in a stunning Manish Malhotra ensemble, which was inspired by the designer's iconic 'Bole Chudiyan' look, featured on Kareena Kapoor Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Sharing details about the same, Manish Malhotra and Shloka's sister Diya Mehta's collaborative post on Instagram read, "looking PHAT! 💓💁🏻‍♀️🌸 While conceptualising the sangeet look we wanted to go for something fun, elegant and “iconic”. After multiple rounds of discussions, we thought of dipping into the archives and recreated the OG @manishmalhotra05 ‘bole chudiyan’ look. It was an absolute blast!!!" The one-shoulder lehenga with sequin and intricate embroidery detail was all things stunning. Shloka paired the backless attire with glittering jewels.

Kareena Kapoor's character Pooja Sharma, aka Poo, in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham sported a coral blouse and palazzo for the song Bole Chudiyan and Manish Malhotra took inspiration from the same and created a bejewelled lehenga with butterfly-adorned tassels on the hem and shoulder.
Justin Bieber's performance was the biggest highlight of the sangeet night. The Ambani family reportedly paid the pop singer $10 million for the special act, wherien he crooned hits like Baby, Peaches, Love Yourself and Sorry. Justin took off to Miami immediately after wrapping his performance on Friday night.
After hosting a pre-wedding celebration in Jamnagar, the Ambanis invited their guests to an 'Italian summer' bash, preceding a series of events in Mumbai. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will marry on July 12, 2024, at Mumbai's Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex, with a traditional Indian theme for the main ceremony. A Shubh Aashirwad ceremony follows on July 13, and the festivities will conclude on July 14 with a grand wedding reception named Mangal Utsav, featuring an Indian chic dress code.
