A theatrical release for the teaser of Martin

Multi-lingual film Martin, directed by A P Arjun, had its teaser released at the theatres on Thursday. Interestingly, the release has takers, producer Uday K Mehta, of Vasavi Enterprises, says. “We planned one show for the teaser to be screened at Bengaluru theatres. But due to the demand, we added another, though it was released online the same day.”

The makers say that the demand is probably because of actor Dhruva Sarja’s enviable fan following.“The idea was to let fans get a theatrical experience right from the teaser of the film. The teaser gives viewers a glimpse of Dhruva as Martin, and showcases him fight WWF wrestlers Nathan Jones and Rubiel Mosquera. The tickets are priced at `100, the proceeds of which will be donated to the gaushala (cow shelter),” says Uday.

Expected to release in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, the story is said to have been written by the lead actor’s uncle and actor Arjun Sarja.
